1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of BookMyBook. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Platform Nature

BookMyBook is a community platform that enables users to list and discover preloved books locally. We facilitate connections between users but do not buy, sell, ship, deliver, or guarantee items listed on the platform. All exchanges are arranged directly between users.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it updated.

4. Listings & User Content

You may submit listings, images, and messages (“User Content”). You confirm that you own or have the rights to share your User Content. By posting User Content, you grant BookMyBook a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, and distribute it within the platform for the purpose of operating and promoting BookMyBook.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

5. Messaging & Conduct

Users may communicate through the platform. You agree to use messaging respectfully and not to harass, spam, or abuse other users. We may take action (including restricting accounts) to protect user safety and platform integrity.

6. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for unlawful, harmful, or misleading purposes
• Post content that is offensive, defamatory, or infringes intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated methods to access the platform without permission

7. Account Suspension & Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the platform if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for other users, or compromised platform security.

8. Disclaimers

BookMyBook is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that listings will be accurate, that books will meet expectations, or that exchanges will be completed successfully.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BookMyBook is not liable for disputes between users or for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the platform.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will communicate them through the platform. Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws.
